Tulips

Veel van de tulpen zijn al uitgebloeid in onze tuin, echter een aantal staan nog prachtig in bloei. Hieronder een paar prachtige foto's van die tulpen.

Most of the tulips in our garden are out of flower, but there are still some of them left. Just some lovely pictures of those tulips.

Het lijkt net alsof de roze-roze kleur er handgeschilderd op zit... Echt prachtig!

Alle tulpen zijn in het najaar gepoot, ik had een gemengde zak met tulpenbollen gekocht bij ons lokale tuincentrum. En genieten dat het is met die prachtige tulpen in onze tuin!

All the tulips were planted this winter, a big bag of tulip bulbs from our local garden center. It's such a joy having those lovely tulips in our garden! 

Daffodils and tullips

Vandaag weer een fleurig berichtje... Aangezien het weer nog niet helemaal meezit heb ik nog wat seizoensbloemen in huis gehaald, prachtige tulpen en stralende narcissen. De kwaliteit van de foto is niet zo geweldig, voor mooie foto's heb ik toch wat meer natuurlijk licht nodig. Helemaal vrolijk wordt ik van deze prachtige bloemen, het geeft zo'n heerlijk lente gevoel, ook al lijkt het buiten nog winter op dit moment.

Today a flowery post... While it's still wintery weather outside, I took some season-flowers in, some beautiful tullips and shining daffodils (narcissus). The quality of those pictures are horible, I took them when there wasn't a lot normal light. Those flowers make me totally happy, such a joy fresh flowers at home. It makes me feel that spring started already here, even when it seems that it's still winter outside.

Tulips

Gisteravond reisde ik met de trein half Nederland door... Ik had een overstap van 13 minuten op 's-Hertogenbosch en aangezien het rond etenstijd was (uur of zeven), besloot ik even naar de AH to go te wandelen. Maaltijdsalade geshopt en net voor ik de winkel uitliep lag daar een bos tulpen vlakbij een vuilnisbak, de caissière zei: 'Neem maar mee hoor, ze gaan anders zo de prullenbak in. Ze waren speciaal voor valentijnsdag, maar deze zijn over.' Dus liep ik ook met een bos tulpen terug naar het perron. Nu is mijn reis naar huis verder niet heel interessant, hier weer aangekomen heb ik ze ontdaan van hun plastic jasje en elastiekjes. Ok, ze zagen er wel een beetje zielig uit, hadden echt wel wat water nodig en er was heel wat blad dat beschadigd was. Na een kleine beauty-treatment, stonden ze even later te pronken op mijn tafeltje... Zijn ze niet prachtig? 

Last night I traveled by train trough half of the Netherlands... I had a change of 13 minutes at 's-Hertogenbosch and since it was around dinner time (about seven o'clock), I decided to go to the AH to go. I bought a salad and just before I left the shop there was a bunch of tulips near a trash can, the cashier said: "Take them with you, otherwise they will be thrown out. They were especially for Valentine's Day, but these are over." So I also went back with a bunch of tulips to the platform. Well my journey home does not go quite interesting. When I arrived home I stripped them of their plastic jacket and rubber bands. Ok, they looked a bit pathetic, really in need of some water and there were a lot of leaves that had been damaged. But later, after a little beauty treatment they were showing off at my table ... I think they are very pretty, they look so nice! Tulips are such beautiful flowers!
